Paddle Care

At House of Pickle PH, we carefully select paddles from trusted brands to deliver the best performance on court. Proper care and storage will help maximize your paddle’s lifespan and maintain its playing characteristics.

Protect from Heat

Avoid exposing your paddle to excessive heat or prolonged direct sunlight. This includes:

  • Leaving your paddle inside a parked vehicle
  • Storing it under direct sunlight
  • Placing it near heaters or other heat sources

High temperatures can weaken the internal construction of the paddle, potentially leading to delamination, face cracking, or reduced performance.

For added protection, we recommend storing your paddle in a thermal-insulated paddle bag whenever possible.

Edge Tape & Surface Care

Edge tape is a great way to protect your paddle from everyday court wear.

However, removing edge tape may damage or peel the cosmetic finish on some paddle models and brands, particularly those with painted or specialty edge finishes.

If replacing edge tape, remove it carefully and follow the manufacturer’s recommendations. Cosmetic damage resulting from improper removal is not covered under warranty.

Cleaning Your Paddle

To keep your paddle in excellent condition:

  • Wipe the surface with a soft, slightly damp microfiber cloth.
  • Use a paddle eraser or paddle cleaner for stubborn ball marks.
  • Allow the paddle to air dry completely before storing.

Never soak or fully submerge your paddle in water, as moisture may damage its internal construction and affect performance.

Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning materials.

Proper Storage

Store your paddle in a cool, dry environment when not in use. To help extend its lifespan:

  • Keep it inside a protective cover or thermal bag.
  • Avoid placing heavy objects on top of the paddle.
  • Do not leave it in humid or excessively hot environments.

On-Court Care

While pickleball paddles are designed for competitive play, they should be treated with care. To reduce unnecessary wear:

  • Avoid hitting the ground, fences, or hard objects.
  • Do not intentionally slam or throw your paddle.
  • Inspect your paddle regularly for signs of damage or excessive wear.

Warranty Notice

Damage caused by accidents, misuse, improper storage, exposure to excessive heat, water damage, unauthorized modifications, or normal cosmetic wear is generally not covered under manufacturer warranties. Please refer to your specific paddle brand’s warranty policy for complete coverage details.

Keep Your Paddle Performing at Its Best

With proper care, your paddle will provide consistent performance and last for many games to come.
